Podcasts and live audio rooms
Facebook is taking a big step to offer audio in social networks by introducing podcasts and live audio rooms . Now Facebook is working fast in this direction. On Monday, Facebook said that it was adding podcasts and live audio rooms to allow users to talk and move them to the fast-growing audio-based app Clubhouse.
Fidji Simo (Head of the Facebook app) said in a blog post, “We think a lot happens on the audio formats platform, as well as a lot more can be done about audio and video.”
According to Simo, people will be allowed to make short-sounding soundbites such as jokes, or spontaneous thoughts. Simo said that we recognize the power of short form audio. We also know that some stories and conversations should find more space on social media.
Let us know that more than 170 million people are connected on the podcast-centric Facebook pages. About 35 million users are members of podcast fan groups.
Simo said that within the next few months, you will be able to listen to podcasts directly on the Facebook app. It can be heard even if the app is directly or the background of the app.
