On the day someone gets fraudulent with someone online, but due to lack of information, people are not able to complain about the fraud that happened to them on time and at the right place. To prevent online fraud and save your earnings, the Home Ministry and the Cyber Cell of Delhi Police have joined hands. The Home Ministry and the Cyber Cell of Delhi Police have launched a helpline number on which you can immediately complain.
The Home Ministry and the Cyber Cell of the Delhi Police have started a helpline at 155260. If you are victim of any kind of online fraud, then call on this number immediately. The money that was blown from your account in 7 to 8 minutes would have been transferred from the ID to another account. The helpline will send an alert message to that bank or e-sites. The amount will then go on hold.
If online fraud occurs, for this purpose 155260 pilot project started in November last year with cyber portal https://cybercrime.gov.in/ (Click here to read the Press Release) and Delhi Police’s cyber cell of the Ministry of Home Affairs to prevent online fraudulent incidents and now these facilities has been fully launched. Indian Cybercrime is a co-ordination platform whose first user is Delhi. Rajasthan has also been added. After this, all the state are their users.
About 55 banks, e-wallets, e-commerce sites, payment gateways and other institutions are interconnect to create a platform known as ‘Citizen Financial Cyber Fraud Reporting System’. Through this platform, victims of online financial frauds can be saved in a very short time. Through this helpline, till data 3 lakh 13 thousand rupees of 21 people are saved.
If online fraud occurs, there are ten lines of this helpline number, so that no one gets busy with this number. When you call on this helpline number (155260), you will be asked the name, number, and timing of the incident. After taking the basic details, it will be forwarded to the respective portal and dashboard of that bank and e-commerce. Also, information will be shared on the bank of the victim.
